There's only 1 Freddie Ljungberg

First of all, congratulations to Liverpool..European Champions...
Although Dudek was 1 metre off his line when he save some of the penalties, Liverpool still did a great job coming back from 3-0 down at half time.
Of course, the crucial penalty by Andrei Shevchenko was saved by Dudek, as Shevchenko tried to imitate Ljungberg's chip...

That's the way you do it...

Roarrrrr....

Joanne Yau is history, this girl is the present

This girl is hanging on Anthony's finger tips...
It's up to Anthony whether to flick her away, or roll her down to his palm to grab....
It's always good to choose, then to let others choose you...
Well done Anthony

F r e d d i e 's Latest News

Freddie Ljungberg was pleased to get a Premiership game under his belt ahead of the FA Cup final.

The Arsenal man has been struggling with thigh and hip injuries of late, but returned to action against Birmingham in the club's final game of the season.

The Swede is desperate to face Manchester United in Cardiff on Saturday, and believes that the Birmingham game was just what he needed to be in contention for the final.

"It was important to get a match before the FA Cup final," Ljungberg told Expressen.

"It was also important to get some tackles to see if the thigh could stand it.

"It's not the same intensity during training.

"We just need to check that the injury was not aggravated. It is a bit swollen, but it feels good."

FA Cup Final

Why Arsenal will beat Man Utd in Cardiff By Myles Palmer

______________

ARSENAL will beat Man United in the FA Cup Final.

United have the bulldog genius but Rooney is not scoring because van Nistelrooy is the wrong partner for him.

United have not scored so many goals this season.

Their defence has put them third and got them to this final.

ARSENAL have looked much better than United for the past two months.

Senderos has stabilised the team.

Gilberto came back and that released Vieira, who is more of a playmaker-goalscorer now, rather than a ballwinner.

JENS LEHMANN looked sharp in the 2-1 defeat at Birmingham.

Sol Campbell looked sharp.

Dennis looked powerful and motivated.

Arsene said, " You could see in the 50-50s that we were not really in there."

Exactly what I thought on the first goal.

A scramble after a Pennant corner and Cole did not go in hard for the loose ball which broke back to Pandiani and he poked it in for 1-0 in 80 minutes.

Bergkamp made it 1-1 in 88 from a Vieira lob and then Pandiani won the flick-on in front of Sol and Senderos hesitated and Heskey banged in the winner in 90.

THE ONLY THING that worries me about the final is the switch of the left-footed Senderos to right centreback.

Senderos is the most two-footed centreback for years.

But he is much more comfortable in his natural position on the left. Which is where Sol, a right-footed player, prefers to play.

Yes, Senderos can handle it. But it creates small uncertainties and small uncertainties can cost big goals.

ONE THING I have noticed about the last six months is that I can usually tell when Arsenal will lose.

I backed them to lose in Munich and they lost 3-1. I backed them to lose to Man United at Highbury and they lost 4-2.

This time I will back them to beat United whether Thierry plays or not.

It is not about one player. When Henry plays they gain something. When he does not play, they gain something else.

Arsenal are stronger in goal, stronger in midfield, and have more options in attack.

Pires scores more goals than Giggs or Scholes.

Also, Arsene Wenger is at his best when he has five days to prepare for a match.

That is why Arsenal play well in cup finals.

Glazer Vs MUFC

Glazer has provided United supporters with the most terrible dilemma: to stay and fight, or walk away, disillusioned by the virus that has taken such a grip on all of football: greed.

I owe the following short article to Kenneth P who posted this on his Blog a couple of days back.

sold trafford*
my beloved football club is going through a turbulent period.i'm hoping against all hope that glazer, being the businessman that he is, hates to lose. if united loses on the field, glazer, your pocket will be hit. united is the most supported club in the world, thanks in part to the recent domination of england's top league.

i am very sure there are enough true-blue supporters who will stick through with the team no matter what. unfortunately for you, the glory-hunters are the ones who you can exploit to the fullest. it's a double edged sword: no glory, no revenue. as for the ones who bleed devils' red, you can count on them not to add to your coffers.

so glazer, you have only one choice if you persist with owning united. ensure the on-field flair and success continues - no point winning ugly.

united, to me, is about passion. feel that passion burning in the hearts of the millions of supporters worldwide - the same people you intend to make your profit from. attend a game for goodness sake. see why everyone reviles you and what you stand for.

see that - despite dropping the words "football club" from the united badge - manchester united exists because of football. take away the football and there is nothing left. not even a casino will save the day.

our history is rich with tragedy and triumph. our ground is the theatre of dreams. our colour is red.not the green of the american dollar.

Freddie's Diary

Freddie Ljungberg is being sued for £1.5 million by a car crash victim.

Singer and dancer Rhita Benabdes, who was a passenger in a G-reg Rover 214 driven by her ex-husband, claims she was left crippled and unable to work after the Arsenal ace hit their motor 19 months ago.

She alleges in a High Court writ: “Ljungberg was negligent in that he drove too fast, failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to pass the Rover safely, failed to leave a safe gap and failed to react appropriately.”

The £45,000-a-week midfielder was driving home from training in his £50,000 BMW M3 when the crash happened on the A41 in North London.

Congratulations to Chelsea and Liverpool

Congratulations to Chelsea and Liverpool.Chelsea for doing the double and Liverpool for reaching the final of the Champions League.Honestly,I didn't think that Chelsea could have done well so fast ,with all the new players they have.I thought they might take at least a season to gel but... damn!Lampard,Robben,Cech,Terry has really prove themselves to be World-class.as for Liverpool, let's say i never imagined myself betting for Liverpool to win the Champions League at the start of the season.I mean they have great players like,Gerrard,Alonso,Baros but still.. for them to actually reach the Final at the expense of players like Nedved,Lampard,Rooney,Zidane,Figo,Ronaldo,C.Ronaldo,Adriano,Henry,Ronaldinho,Ballack etc. It's just amazing this game of Football. Now I just hope Liverpool will go on to win it.Stupid Milan who knocked out my favourite team Man Utd as well as Inter and PSV.one word.Cibai.

With Chelsea and Liverpool doing so well.I'm just excited about the next season.I'm sure Man Utd and Arsenal won't leave such a big gap between Chelsea and them next season. And who knows,Liverpool might finally be able to join the title race. From the way things are going for them, with their C. League Final and their new players, they might finally be able to challenge for the league.I hate it when the league is boring.

I have to disagree that a new era is beginning for Chelsea.I believe that with the players that Man Utd and Liverpool have they might be able to challenge them.People like Rooney, Ronaldo, Alonso, Gerrard are still young. And the old heads, Ferguson and Wenger still has what it takes. As for Arsenal,as long as they can keep the core of the squad healthy, Campbell (Fugly Monkey), Cole, Vieira, Henry, they should be alright if not they will have problems again for their squad is too thin.

So let's look forward to next season.Fuck the FA Cup,its meaningless,it's just another trophy for the big clubs like Man Utd or Arsenal to stick their heads into and hide their faces because they can't win the League or Champions League. At least thats what i think.

note: I almost forgot something, Congratulations to Arsenal for wining the Community Shield! Haha

uefa is beating around the bush. all this talk about the possibility of giving liverpool a champions league place as defending champions is not doing anything except 1) to please the jealous fans at highbury, old trafford and stamford bridge and 2) tease liverpool fans. it's teasing us because it may potentially give us false hope, rules are rules. however much it aches me, marcus bent and company earned their champions league place fairly, no doubt. ugly football, but then again, nice football doesn't get you anywhere. case in point, arsenal. liverpool haven't won the champions league yet but what people fail to realise is that liverpool football club has won so much more. getting to the champions league final with biscan, traore and nunez donning the famous red shirt is a miracle in the truest definition. i truly feel we are in the midst of a rebuilding process under rafa benitez. his calls for "more time" rings a familiar tune, but a tune that holds more hope. i sincerely hope steven gerrard is listening to that tune with a positive mindset. manchester united does not have that privilege. an aging squad, a manager at the wrong end of the life cycle and a couple of useless summer purchases, a positive rebuilding process is a long time coming. liverpool lost to minions like crystal palace and southampton, and manchester united lost to norwich and cannot beat west brom at home. liverpool are in the champions league final and manchester united is in the fa cup final. it's a subtle hint that the balance of power is tilting away from old trafford and highbury.

but football is like art, and like art, it's subjective. i think there is definately something positive to take away from this season despite the blue half of merseyside feasting their virgin tympanic membranes to the champions league anthem and that something is not going right in highbury and old trafford.

watch this space.

Ideally...

How great will it be if UEFA decides to let Liverpool enter Champs league next season if they win the tournament this year..and after all the hype and mercy from UEFA, Liverpool fails to win the champions league...
It will be all in vain...Double blow to Liverpool and Siah....

As 'entertaining' as ChinBai's lyrics for the ' You'll Never Walk Alone' Celtic FC theme song.. (pirated just like Ah Wah selling fake DVDs on the roadside by Liverpool FC), I thought a picture would do more justice.
Looking at a picture like that makes me wonder, how can Lee Bowyer not be nominated for European Footballer of the Year (and Michael Owen can?). Blasphemy ! Posted by Hello

this has been a long time coming, an idiot's guide to the liverpool anthem, you will never walk alone. originally written by richard rodgers and oscar hammerstein II for their play, carousel. unless you're a broadway historian, you've probably never heard of it. they are more famous for producing the sound of music, and unless you've had an extremely deprived childhood with abusive parents like the fake ronaldo, you'd have heard of it, or better still, actually seen it.

in carousel, the song is sung twice. the song is sung 1) by the townsfolk after the death of the main character, billy, to his pregnant widow, julie to give her courage and strength and 2) by the graduating class of billy's daughter which he attends spiritually to gain entry to heaven. fucking americans who know jack shit about football, would sing this song during their graduations. such ignorance to the greater meaning of the song - liverpool fc.

carousel was produced in 1945, and in 1963, you'll never walk alone was reproduced by a scouser band, gerry and the pacemakers, managed by the legendary brian epstein, and it went to the number 1 in the uk charts. it was then that liverpool fans adopted it, before fucking celtic fc and ajax.

frankly, i don't have concrete evidence that liverpool fc adopted it before celtic fc, but with a liverpudlian band bringing the song to british shores and one of the most famous brits, douglas adams, author of the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, mentioning it in the book (and i thoroughly enjoyed the book), i guess it's obvious. fucking celtic fans would be too busy eating haggis and beating up their wives ala rooney to notice such a song on the other side of the british isles.

speaking of football chants, check out this website. hilarious and unheard of chants. here are my favourites....

...about the great stevvie gerrard

Stevie Gerrard Gerrard
Stevie Gerrard Gerrard
He's better than Frank Lampard
He's big and f****ng hard
Stevie Gerrard Gerrard

big and hard! oh dear.

and john oh shea...

Johnny Goes Marching Down The Wing
When Johnny goes marching down the wing O'Shea, O'Shea
When Johnny goes marching down the wing O'Shea, O'Shea
When Johnny goes marching down the wing the Stretford End will f**kin sing
WE ALL KNOW THAT JOHNNYS GONNA SCORENa na na na na na na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na
WE ALL KNOW THAT JOHNNYS GONNA SCORE

TRULY no shame.

and how can i not end this post without the anthem...

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet, silver song of a lark.
Walk on, through the wind,
Walk on, through the rain,
Though your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart,
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never walk alone.
