finally managed to figure out this new blogger business.
but back to business.
recently spent a small fortune on a couple of football dvds, and no lollies for guessing that it has everything to do with liverpool. the list includes...
1) 100 greatest moments of the kop
2) liverpool: the ultimate fa cup collection
the first dvd needs no explanation, over 3 hours of literally, greatest kop moments and goals scored at the kop end. from early beginnings right to the modern day. i wouldnt pretend to know anything about liverpools history prior to the 1990s, and this dvd is a nice introduction. and then the second dvd, or rather dvds. COMPLETE prematch, match and post-matches of all victorious liverpool fa cup wins since 1965. total of 8 dvds. am still watching my way through them and the football then and now is very different, though it doesnt take a genius to figure that out. good to see less diving, backpasses to goalies, englishmen actually playing for english teams and dare i say, john motson commentary! love that guy, makes the football match so much more entertaining. like i admitted earlier, i dont know much liverpool history and i watched these games without knowing the scoreline (though i oviously knew who the winners were). orgasm.
just watched the 1989 final against everton. saw legends like beardsley, barnes, RUSH, aldridge etc. very good to see them in action, and i will reiterate, with john motson commentary, orgasm!
and out of goodwill, i told emperor tay about a mu version of this fa cup collection and suggested he should buy it.
and he disappointed me with the following sms...
"no time to watch. am going to enjoy some brazilian steak!" - emperor tay
disappointing.
but thats not the point. sometimes i think its good to have a collection of these classics, not to prove that youre a hardcore fan of the team, but maybe as a football fan so that in the future, when we're all sick of cb ronaldo winning 5 world player of the year awards in a row, we can just plug in a classic dvd and enjoy some pure football.

I thought ut would be appropriate to respond to your blog-post 1 day post Cristiano Ronaldo (The TRUE Ronaldo) winning both FOotballers Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year.
Call him CB or any other imaginative adjectives, you WISH Ronaldo played for the Kop.
Thats aside, interesting post however.
I must admit I am well-surprised Anthony 'Emperor' Tay did not wish to purchase this DVD. My birthday is in June '07 and I must say that I would love to own that DVD and have it sent from S'pore.
When Anthony mentioned Brazillian steak? Was it meant as dinner/ food or did he mean metaphorically a DATE?
