Rabona Galore !!

Anthony would appeciate this the most. The Rabona - crossing the right leg behind the left to strike the ball has been used frequently by Anthony 'The Emperor' Tay do dish out punishment to opposing players in Australia and Singapore (i.e. ChinSiah 10-1)..

Invented by Ascoli striker Giovanni Riccotelli, 'il padre della rabona' (the father of the rabona) in which Pele and Ronaldo (the fake Real Madrid Ronaldo) have since copied to score goals. The great Pele himself said in an interview that he remembered an Italian doing it before him...

Here are a couple of rabonas videos ... Dutch player Dave de Jong scored a rabona goal for VfL Osnabrück (third division) against SpVgg Greuther Fürth (second division) in a German Cup match in August 2005 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WO2qqrI-0DQ

To Pablo Aimar's near miss (if he really meant to shoot from there) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsjMS7d4iY8

And finally when describing the legends of the game.. lets not forget the great Djimi Traoré scoring a rabona own goal and a player called Marko Kecman .. Pele, Maradona and George Best, eat your heart out... here comes Djimi.

ChinBai... You are a fussy, fussy man. You've gotta admit some of the own goals were really classy.
Djimi (UEFA Champs Lge Winner)'s rabona golal takes the cake though.. It was like THE Dennis Bergkamp's goal against Nwecastle but classier, slicker and more memorable..
