Ferdinand best defender?
Ferdinand once hailED as the best defender in the world.However,base on his performance this season,he seems more Cygan-like than Nesta-like.What a pathetic performance by Ferdinand against Boro.
Hasselbaink's goal: both Jimmy and Rio were going after the same ball.Jimmy managed to flick the ball in front of Rio to get pass him to score.
Mendieta's 2nd goal: Yakubu beat Rio far too easily to set up Mendieta's 2nd goal.
United should cut his wages in half as punishment.100,000 pounds-a-week?!What a waste of money.
Having said that,for United's sake,I do hope that Rio bounce back from his dismal display and prove to us all, especially United fans, the world-class defender that he is.

rio has joined the djimi traore school of defending. djimi would be proud to recruit such a promising student.
With Ferdinand's recent performances, saying Ferdinand wants to join Djimi 'better-than-Nesta' Traore is an insult to Traore as well.

Rio Ferdinand played for Leeds in the 2000/2001 semi-final of the Champions League which they lost 3-0 to Valencia on aggregate.Rio got on the score sheet in the quater-final against Deportivo.
Siah, you should appreciate your players more.
Did you realise that Traore is the only champions league winner among the defenders mentioned...Cygan and Ferdinand never played in a champions league final
