Arsenal to do 'a Liverpool'?

I woke up catching the 2nd half of the game, expecting to see a 0-0 scoreline. Instead it was 1-0. I was like.. "it's ok, only 1 down, Juventus squad is experienced."

The 2nd half was a let down to Juventus. It seems as though Capello has instructed Emerson and Vieira to sit deep with the only support in attack to Zlatan and Trezeguet were the two wingers, Camoranesi and Mutu. Whenever Zlatan or Trezeguet has the ball they seem to have limited options to pass the ball too with Emerson and Vieira not giving enough support in attack. Hence, making it easy for the Arsenal defence to snuff out the attacks. Although it is worth mentioning that Toure has proven himself to be a rock in defence. Who needs an old ageing, fugly monkey aka Campbell.

In contrast, whenever Arsenal had the ball they look dangerous with overlapping runs from the full backs on the wide strecthing the Juve defence allowing the Arsenal strikers and midfielders alot of space to roam. If not for the timely interventions of Cannavaro, Juve would have been further behind.

Although missing Del Piero and Nedved, it was no excuse for Juventus to throw in such a pathetic performance. With Vieira and Camoranesi missing from the 2nd leg. Blasi should be drafted in the middle with hopefully the mecurial Nedved back and Del Piero.

Vieira's main motive for changing clubs was so that he could stand a better chance of lifting an European trophy. Imagine the irony if Arsenal were to win instead. And what was Owen's motive to move to Madrid again? hahaha.

I must say that I am not the BIGGEST fan of ARSE-nal, but their performance on Tuesday night is worth a mention, one man in particular.

Cesc ABSOLUTELY FAB-gregas. Matured, accomplished and a polished display. He basically took Vieira by the scruff of the neck, raped him and made sure he wouldn't be there in the return leg.

True, the UEFA Champs Lge has still a long way to go but ARSE-nal might just be able to pull off what Liverpool did last year..
Stranger things have happened in football.
